About the Great American Walk For Freedom

The Great American Walk for Freedom will pass through 24 Wisconsin towns over 280 miles and 21 days. It is not a protest or a demonstration. It is campaign of outreach and education. In each town we pass through, with every American we meet, at every farmhouse and every crossroads, we will invite people to think about and discuss the condition of the country and the solution to its troubles: the principles of Liberty and the Constitution. As we Walk, we will distribute thousands of copies of the U.S. Constitution, hold Town Hall meetings and interview with local media. At the Town Hall Meetings we will give a presentation called:  “The Case for Freedom:  The Constitution is the Way Forward for America”.  We will also encourage dialogue about the Constitutional issues raised by the presentation.  We intend to spark thought and discussion giving voice to the People on the most pressing matters facing the nation today.

Frequently Asked Questions:

When are you doing this?
We will be leaving Green Bay on August 11th, and will arriving in Minneapolis on August 31st. For a detailed itinerary and schedule of Town Hall Meetings, please click the "Route" button on this web site.

Why are you doing this?
We come from a wide variety of backgrounds and beliefs. But we are all very concerned as Americans. We're concerned that America has lost it's familiarity with the Constitution, the founding principles of the nation and the true meaning of Freedom. We hope to inspire Americans to read the Constitution and understand it in light of the nation's current circumstances.

What party are you with?
We are a group of concerned American citizens; some of us are Republicans, some are Democrats, some are Libertarians, some are Independents. We are concerned about the condition and direction of the country and believe that a return to the founding principles of our nation as embodied by its Constitution is the only way to get our country back on track.

How will people know about the Town Hall Meetings?
We’d like you to announce it to your members, and with your permission we would like to invite the general public of your town.  We will produce a flyer for you to distribute.  Perhaps you can refer us to other local organizations we can invite.  We will also notify local news media. We’ll get press releases out to appropriate places.

How are you planning to do this?
We will be walking approximately 15 miles a day. We have a support team will be accompanying us - providing set up help and support at our town halls, and providing the Walkers with what ever support they may need.
A fleet of rented RV’s will serve as mobile dormitories, mess halls, bathrooms and supply vehicles.

How much does it cost?
The presentation is free and we will be distributing many materials at no cost. We will graciously accept contributions from anyone who values and supports our work.

Do you have a flyer for posting and distribution?
A flyer will appear here for download soon.
